Join us July 26th for a Mini Clydesdale Demo at Walworth

County Fairgrounds.

This will be a great opportunity for any and all project members to see and learn about driving and what it takes!

We also have some leads on some horses that pull as well as drafts. Stay tuned for those demos!!

It has been brought to my attention that there is some confusion about driving. ****There is a driving clinic almost every week , as well as these “special” dates listed below at the Walworth County fairgrounds; please see the schedule dates below June 7th June 21st June 28th July 12th July 26th August 9th August 23rd It has been made mandatory that all disciplines make their way to the fairgrounds 3 times. If you do not attend clinics at the fairgrounds 3 times you unfortunately will not be eligible to show at both a local and state level. If you have any questions we ask that you reach out to us or Janel Heidelmeier. With all this being said, you are more than welcome take lessons at any farm anytime. (We actually encourage outside lessons no matter the discipline.

However again YOU NEED TO ATTEND 3 CLINICS AT THE FAIRGROUNDS to qualify for local and state 4H. Our bylaws have been updated as of 2021 as well as the hand books. Thank you everyone Jen Betts Horse and Pony 4 project.

PREMISE ID

Why is a premise ID important & how this

 information will be used..

Wisconsin Premises Registration Act requires all those who house, or co-mingle livestock (horses) to register their location AKA- premises.

Which animals are considered “livestock”?

* Bovine (bison & cattle) * Farm-raised deer

* Horses or other equine * Captive game birds

* Poultry * Fish (kept at a fish farm)

* Swine * Llamas, alpacas, or other camelids

* Sheep * Ostriches, emus, or other ratites* Goats
